Your piercing red eyes stared back at you from your reflection as you applied a thick layer of foundation to your face. The natural color hid your pure white skin from the world, a bit mixing into your (h/l), snow white locks. You had been an albino since birth, and that meant you had been labeled as a freak since birth. Your white features and red eyes frightened people. Everyone called you a monster, a freak, some even going to the extreme and calling you a demon. It was only when Elsa found you hidden away in the outskirts of a town in Georgia that you found a place where you were accepted. The Freak Show treated you well. You were surrounded by “fellow monsters” who thought you were beautiful. Although, none of them thought you were more astonishingly gorgeous than Jimmy Darling. From the moment he laid eyes on you and offered you a charming wink, he knew you had to be his. And you were. You fell in love with him, all of him, in the blink of an eye. You didn’t even seem to notice his hands. They didn’t matter, for he was charming, sweet, and the most precious man you had ever met. Your pale pink lips curled into a small grin at the memories, but you were quick to grab your maroon lipstick and cover up your ailment. Looking up as the door squeaked open, you saw your lover enter the small trailer.

“Hey Slim Jim.”

He grinned at the nickname before he closed the door and approached where you sat.

“Hey sugar. What’s all this?”

He motioned to the makeup both on the table and applied to your face. You put the lid back on your tube of lipstick.

“I’m going out to get groceries and whatnot. Want anything special?”

He bent down to place a lingering kiss to your temple, watching you put away the makeup through the mirror.

“A bottle of whiskey would be great.”

You chuckled, glancing at his smile before you moved to stand.

“Anything other than liquor?”

His gaze followed you across the room where you grabbed the blonde wig setting on your shelf. His smile faltered as you pulled it on to hide your pure white hair.

“A burger and fries, I guess.”

You straightened the wig and grabbed your purse from a nearby chair.

“No onions?”

Jimmy’s lips twitched into a small smile.

“No onions.”

You turned to face him, smiling as you straightened your skirt. He wanted to smile back and tell you that you looked beautiful, he really did, but he just couldn’t bear it. He hated to see you in a disguise. You were beautiful as you were, and it sent a fiery anger through his veins that the world couldn’t accept that. You noticed the discomfort in his eyes and quickly approached him.

“I know you don’t like this, but I have to do it.”

He sighed, moving to brush a strand of fake hair from your face before he stopped. He hated to touch your face with his hands. He thought they were disgusting. You, however, were quick to take them in your own as if they were the most normal thing in the world. Getting on your toes, you placed a chaste kiss to his lips.

“I’ll be back in a few hours. I love you. All of you.”

You kissed the back of his hand, smiling reassuringly. Jimmy returned the gesture with a loving grin.

“I love you too. Just the way you are.”

You kissed his hand again before making your way out of the trailer and to where Elsa was waiting in the car.

*~~*

Elsa watched you grab the bags containing yours and Jimmy’s things, your makeup beginning to get splotchy. It was only when a shop attendant noticed the white spot on the side of your face that you had to stay in the car for the rest of the trip. You smiled as Elsa wandered over to you and gently took the wig from your head. Your white locks were disheveled and messy, and they looked unnatural with your painted face.

“Go rest with your man for the night. I’ll take care of all this.”

She kissed your cheek, her thumb coming up to wipe away the lipstick that had smudged on your face.

“And take that horrible stuff off. It masks your natural beauty.”

You smiled wider than ever, your face heating in a blush as you looked down at your feet.

“Yes ma’am.”

With that, you made your way to your trailer, nudging the door open with your elbow. Jimmy was lying on his side on your mess of a bed, his back to you. You set the bags in a chair before you sat down and began to wipe the makeup from your features.

“Your food’s in one of those bags. Hopefully it’s still warm.”

He didn’t move, silently lying there. Worry edged into your veins as you finished washing your face. You took out the contacts that concealed your red eyes and took off your jacket before you wandered over to the bed.

“Jimmy?”

At the feeling of your hand on his arm, he rolled over and looked at you with teary eyes. Your eyebrows furrowed as you climbed to lie beside him, concerned beyond belief.

“What happened? Jimmy, tell me what’s wrong, please…”

He sniffled before bringing his hands into view. They were covered by the gloves he wore in public, and you looked at them in confusion.

“Why are you wearing these?”

He sniffled again as more tears trailed down his flushed cheeks.

“They’re disgustin’… I’m a freak, (y/n)… I don’t deserve a beauty like you…”

You held back the urge to simply smack him into next year. Instead, you pulled the gloves from his hands and took them into your own. He tried to pull away, to keep you from touching the awful things, but you wouldn’t have it.

“We’ve talked about this, Jimmy. I don’t care that you’re like this. I love your hands. They’re warm and soft and perfect to hold…”

You brought one to your lips and began to pepper it with kisses from his wrist to his fingertips. Jimmy simply watched you, sniffling quietly as tears continued to gather in his eyes. Your gaze shifted to his face, your snow white fingers brushing away the tears on his cheeks.

“You’re not a freak. And it ain’t a crime to look different. You’re a charming, precious gentleman that I love to the moon and back. No matter what you look like.”

He stared at you for a long moment before he genuinely smiled. You returned the gesture, leaning in to place your lips against his. The same hands that he hated moved to your waist where he lifted you into his lap. Jimmy barely pulled away, his lips hovering over yours, as he whispered sweetly.

“I love you so much, sugar… You’re so perfect… Inside and out…”

You pecked his lips again, your forehead resting against his.

“I love you too, Jimmy… All of you…
